[Before the peach blooms] Open it
The M Group Co., Ltd.

March 17, 2026

Gallery Bada, a cultural space in the The M Tower of Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town, will hold the 2026 spring exhibition "Before Peach Blossoms" until the 31st.

Gallery Bada is the first permanent exhibition space for disabled artists in Korea created by ARTOVE, a model for hiring disabled artists. It continues to introduce the work of disabled artists to help them continue their creative activities in a sustainable way, and operates as a space where visitors can experience art comfortably.

The exhibition, which will involve 17 artists, including deaf, deaf, developmental disabilities, and brain lesions, will feature 63 works focusing on flowers and conveying the atmosphere of spring.

Participating artists have filled the exhibition hall with works that convey the fresh energy of the season by interpreting the upcoming spring with their own senses and ways. Although it is an exhibition composed of the works of several artists, it is an exhibition where you can connect, connect, and appreciate the work by combining different senses into one season.

The works of Oh Hyo-seok and Joo-hyun, who are Nongin and have been exchanging with each other due to their relationship with seniors and juniors, capture the eyes of visitors through a special composition. The wall, which intersects the flower works of the two artists, looks like a wall in spring when several flower trees are in full bloom.

Forsythias and Japanese apricot flowers, which were blooming by the two artists on one side of the wall of the exhibition hall, fill the dry indoor space in an instant with the energy of spring full of life, creating a synesthetic image that allows you to enjoy other senses through sight.

It is also worth paying attention to the production of variations in the screen that artists with developmental disabilities attempted. The artworks of Park Jae-jin and Heo Jeong-in, which featured frogs and birds on the screen, reveal the artist's unique sense of looking at the season through different and multi-layered perspectives, not images of ordinary spring.

Heo Jung-in's work "Flamingo and Elves" does not focus on the fragmentary image of spring through flamingo, a bird known to live mainly in tropical regions, but expands the area of senses to describe the season with an exotic feeling.

In Joo-hyun's work "I Missed You," white flowers reminiscent of magnolia fill the screen. You can feel a bright and mysterious atmosphere by contrasting the image of a modest magnolia contained in blue and white porcelain with a colorful purple background.

An official from Gallery Bada said, "This exhibition is not a spring in full bloom, but a place to show works that focus on the senses just before it begins in earnest. I hope it will be a time to experience a little early spring through the exhibition of Gallery Bada and think of spring in each way."

The exhibition is free of charge, and details of the exhibition can be found at Gallery Bada (02-6337-0701).
